lifeXtra is still very much ‘in development’ and your participation will enable us to make it a process and programme which can help people throughout the country to grow and develop. Earlier in 2007. lifeXtra had its first outing at Our Lady & St George’s parish in Walthamstow. The video shows some clips from the days there and gives a flavour of the event.

The People
llifeXtra has grown out of the experience of three Redemptorists. John Trenchard is currently Provincial of the Redemptorists in Britain and has many years of experience in parish ministry, publishing and parish mission work. Michael McGreevy also has many years of experience in parish ministry, publishing and parish mission work. Richard Hagen has been involved in leading parish missions for the last eleven years and is also a personal coach and trainer of NLP.
Richard and John will lead the days and Michael will be present to gather your feedback on the material and the event as a whole.
The Project
lifeXtra is a unique attempt to bring together the arenas of personal development, spirituality and faith. There are many opportunities today to explore personal development, from NLP training courses to holistic holidays and all points in-between. There are groups exploring the realm of spirituality in its many guises. There are also Christian programmes aimed at increasing our knowledge of God or our faith. lifeXtra aims to bring these three traditionally separate zones together - they are not separate in our daily lives, yet are often treated as such by religious and non-religious groups alike. It is our conviction that wholeness and balance are the keys to healthy living today. This demands a deeper integration of faith, spirituality with daily-living than ever before. We are testing the project out in different ways this year and your involvement and feedback will be essential in shaping how the final lifeXtra programme will look.
